Now Joab son of Zeruiah perceived that the king’s mind was on Absalom.

And the heart of the king went out, yearning for Absalom, for he was now consoled over the death of Amnon.

Joab sent to Tekoa and brought from there a wise woman. He said to her, “Pretend to be a mourner; put on mourning garments, and do not anoint yourself with oil, but behave like a woman who has been mourning many days for the dead.

The king was deeply moved and went up to the chamber over the gate and wept, and as he went he said, “O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you, O Absalom, my son, my son!”

So the victory that day was turned into mourning for all the troops, for the troops heard that day, “The king is grieving for his son.”

The king covered his face, and the king cried with a loud voice, “O my son Absalom, O Absalom, my son, my son!”

The three sons of Zeruiah were there, Joab, Abishai, and Asahel. Now Asahel was as swift of foot as a wild gazelle.

and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three.

Many seek the favor of a ruler, but it is from the Lord that one gets justice.
