Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,
Hezekiah slept with his ancestors, and they buried him on the ascent to the tombs of the descendants of David, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honor at his death. His son Manasseh succeeded him.
Alas for you, O land, when your king is a child and your princes feast in the morning!
My people—their oppressors extort them, and creditors rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you and confuse the course of your paths.
And I will make youths their princes, and children shall rule over them.
I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what King Manasseh son of Hezekiah of Judah did in Jerusalem.
