So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him and his son Isaac; he cut the wood for the burnt offering and set out and went to the place in the distance that God had shown him.

Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.

For thus says the Lord the God of Israel: The jar of meal will not be emptied and the jug of oil will not fail until the day that the Lord sends rain on the earth.”

The jar of meal was not emptied, neither did the jug of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.

So she left him and shut the door behind her and her children; they kept bringing vessels to her, and she kept pouring.

They rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa, and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God and you will be established; believe his prophets and you will succeed.”

Then Jesus answered her, “Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed from that moment.

Then he called his disciples and said to them, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury.

Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

By faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac. He who had received the promises was ready to offer up his only son,
