Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.
Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers and sisters to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him, just as he told you.”
“For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, died, was laid beside his ancestors, and experienced corruption,
Then he knelt down and cried out in a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he died.
Then those also who have died in Christ have perished.
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died.
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.
For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will by no means precede those who have died.
and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since our ancestors died, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation!”
