The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their genealogies.

And David organized them in divisions corresponding to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, and Asaiah his son.

Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of the Levites according to their ancestry.
