Psalm 90:7

For we are consumed by your anger; by your wrath we are overwhelmed.

“You chastise mortals in punishment for sin, consuming like a moth what is dear to them; surely everyone is a mere breath. Selah

consume them in wrath; consume them until they are no more. Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob. Selah

So he made their days vanish like a breath, and their years in terror.

Who considers the power of your anger? Your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you.

For all our days pass away under your wrath; our years come to an end like a sigh.

At the morning watch the Lord in the pillar of fire and cloud looked down upon the Egyptian army, and threw the Egyptian army into panic.

In fury you trod the earth, in anger you trampled nations.

But with whom was he angry forty years? Was it not those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
