He was speaking of Judas son of Simon Iscariot, for he, though one of the twelve, was going to betray him.

Even my bosom friend in whom I trusted, who ate of my bread, has lifted the heel against me.

These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon, also known as Peter, and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

Simon the Cananaean, and Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed him.

Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went to the chief priests in order to betray him to them.

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to betray him), said,

The devil had already put it into the heart of Judas son of Simon Iscariot to betray him. And during supper

Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.

Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

But Thomas (who was called the Twin), one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came.

But among you there are some who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the first who were the ones that did not believe, and who was the one that would betray him.

Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”

this man, handed over to you according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of those outside the law.

For certain intruders have stolen in among you, people who long ago were designated for this condemnation as ungodly, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
