Then he prays to God, and is accepted by him, he comes into his presence with joy, and God repays him for his righteousness.

With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?

My soul languishes for your salvation; I hope in your word.

As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake I shall be satisfied, beholding your likeness.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Your dead shall live, their corpses shall rise. O dwellers in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a radiant dew, and the earth will give birth to those long dead.

Your eyes will see the king in his beauty; they will behold a land that stretches far away.

I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near— a star shall come out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel; it shall crush the borderlands of Moab, and the territory of all the Shethites.
