Hear, O women, the word of the Lord, and let your ears receive the word of his mouth; teach to your daughters a dirge, and each to her neighbor a lament.

Thus says the Lord God, Alas for the senseless prophets who follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

“Who then is the faithful and wise slave, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their allowance of food at the proper time?

And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and prudent manager whom his master will put in charge of his slaves, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.

For we are not peddlers of God's word like so many; but in Christ we speak as persons of sincerity, as persons sent from God and standing in his presence.

I am grateful to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because he judged me faithful and appointed me to his service,
