On recognizing Peter's voice, she was so overjoyed that, instead of opening the gate, she ran in and announced that Peter was standing at the gate.

After the people of that place recognized him, they sent word throughout the region and brought all who were sick to him,

So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

While in their joy they were disbelieving and still wondering, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?”
