So that you may not claim to be wiser than you are, brothers and sisters, I want you to understand this mystery: a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For, to begin with, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you; and to some extent I believe it.

I die every day! That is as certain, brothers and sisters, as my boasting of you—a boast that I make in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But if anyone has caused pain, he has caused it not to me, but to some extent—not to exaggerate it—to all of you.

We are not commending ourselves to you again, but giving you an opportunity to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast in outward appearance and not in the heart.

for I know your eagerness, which is the subject of my boasting about you to the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year; and your zeal has stirred up most of them.

to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless,

so that I may share abundantly in your boasting in Christ Jesus when I come to you again.

I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.

It is by your holding fast to the word of life that I can boast on the day of Christ that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.

And may he so strengthen your hearts in holiness that you may be blameless before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

May the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
