These Gadites were officers of the army, the least equal to a hundred and the greatest to a thousand.

Five of you shall give chase to a hundred, and a hundred of you shall give chase to ten thousand; your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

How could one have routed a thousand, and two put a myriad to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, the Lord had given them up?
