And Na’omi [my delight] said unto Rut [friendship] her daughter in law, [It is] good, my daughter, that youi go out with his maidens, that they meet youi not in any other field.
You1s own friend, and youi father’s friend, forsake not; neither go into youi brother’s house in the day of youi calamity: [for] better [is] a neighbour [that is] near than a brother far off.
And Rut [friendship] the Moavi [from father: what father?] said, He said unto me also, youi shall keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.
So she kept fast by the maidens of Bo’az [a high rate of movement] to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.
