Proverbs 7:23

Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hastes to the snare, and knows not that it [is] for his life.

For man also knows not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so [are] the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.


But he knows not that the dead [are] there; [and that] her guests [are] in the depths of hell.


Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.


For by means of a whorish woman [a man is brought] to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.


[But] whoso commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he [that] does it destroys his own soul.


He goes after her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;


And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart [is] snares and nets, [and] her hands [as] bands: whoso pleases God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.
