Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let [them] slip.


Come, you2f children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate].


My son, hear the instruction of youi father, and forsake not the law of youi mother:


Bow down youi ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply youi heart unto my knowledge.


My son, attend unto my wisdom, [and] bow youi ear to my understanding:


Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that youi may be wise in youi latter end.


Say unto wisdom, youi [are] my sister; and call understanding [youi] kinswoman:


To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;


Thus have we obeyed the voice of Yonadav [Yehovah is willing] [Generous] the son of Rekhav [rider] our father in all that he has charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;


Gather yourselves together, and hear, youf sons of Ya’akov (he who holds onto the heel of); and hearken unto Isra’el (he who holds onto God-The Creator) yourf father.


A wise son [hears] his father’s instruction: but a scorner hears not rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain).
