So foolish [was] I, and ignorant: I was [as] a beast before youi.


Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.


If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God-The Father, that gives to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.


And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.

A “stupid as a beast” man knows not; neither does a fool understand this.


For he sees [that] wise men die, likewise the fool and the “stupid as a beast” person perish, and leave their wealth to others.


Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof (rebuke; scolding) [is] “stupid as a beast”.


The words of Agur [Gathered] the son of Yakeh [Blameless], [even] the prophecy: the man spoke unto Iti’el [God is with me], even unto Iti’el [God is with me] and Ukhal [Devoured],
