Then Herod [heroic] saw that the Astronomers had outwitted him and was very displeased. Being grieved at heart, he commanded that word be sent to all his princes to kill all the male children who were in Beit-Lechem [house of bread] and its borders who had been born from the time when the star appeared, which he had determined when the Astronomers spoke to him concerning the birth of the Boy.


Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:


The fear of a king [is] as the roaring of a lion: [whoso] provokes him to anger sins [against] his own soul.


The king’s wrath [is] as the roaring of a lion; but his favour [is] as dew upon the grass.

I will meet them as a bear [that is] bereaved [of her whelps], and will rend (tear apart; forcefully rip apart) the caul (membrane; fatty tissue around a bodily organ) of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.


Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful] [is] oppressed [and] broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.


Let a bear robbed of her whelps meet a man, rather than a fool in his folly.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn.


And the Mitzri made the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] to serve with rigour:


The Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has broken the staff of the wicked, [and] the scepter of the rulers.


He who struck the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, [and] none hinders it.


Her princes within her [are] roaring lions; her [are] evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
