I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that follows vain [persons is] void of understanding.
Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.
In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found: but a rod [is] for the back of him that is void of understanding.
[But] whoso commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he [that] does it destroys his own soul.
I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
I will show youi, hear me; and that [which] I have seen I will declare;
Lo this, we have searched it, so it [is]; hear it, and know youi [it] for youi good.
All [things] have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just [man] that perishes in his righteousness, and there is a wicked [man] that prolongs [his life] in his wickedness.
The righteous shall see [it], and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
By much slothfulness the building decays; and through idleness of the hands the house drops through.
The soul of the sluggard desires, and [has] nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.
