For riches [are] not forever: and does the crown [endure] to every generation?


For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.


Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God-The Father, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;


Again he said to them: “Do not keep on heaping up treasures on earth so that decay and grub devour it or thieves dig through and steal them”

But youri eyes and youri heart [are] not but for youri covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do [it].


Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all [is] vanity.


Surely every man walks in a vain show: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heaps up [riches], and knows not who shall gather them.


For what reason do you2f spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfies not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat you2f [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.


The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he opens his eyes, and he [is] not.


Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto youi.
