A gift [is as] a precious stone in the eyes of him that has it: to wherever it turns, it prospers.

And youi shall take no gift: for the gift blinds the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.


That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asks, and the judge [asks] for a reward; and the great [man], he utters his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

A gift in secret pacifies anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.


A wicked [man] takes a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.


So David [beloved] received of her hand [that] which she had brought him, and said unto her, Go up in peace to youi house; see, I have listened to youi voice, and have accepted youi person.


youi shall not wrest judgment; youi shall not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.


And their father Isra’el (he who holds onto God-The Creator) said unto them, If [it must be] so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in yourf vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm (a medicine; rosin from a bush), and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:


The voice of the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] [is] powerful; the voice of the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] [is] full of majesty.


Be youi exalted, Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], in youri own strength: [so] will we sing and praise youri power.


His going forth [is] from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.


He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.


Surely oppression makes a wise man mad; and a gift destroys the heart.


Two hundred she goats, and twenty he goats, two hundred ewes, and twenty rams,


So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company.


A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.
