Wisdom [is] before him that has understanding; but the eyes of a fool [are] in the ends of the earth.
The wise man’s eyes [are] in his head; but the fool walks in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happens to them all.
Who [is] as the wise [man]? and who knows the interpretation of a thing? a man’s wisdom makes his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.
For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Better [is] the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this [is] also vanity and anguish of spirit.
A scorner seeks wisdom, and [finds it] not: but knowledge [is] easy unto him that understands.
If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God-The Father, or [whether] I speak of myself.
Will youi set youi eyes upon that which is not? for [riches] certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
The heart of him that has understanding seeks knowledge: but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; [and] quicken youi me in youri way.
A foolish son [is] a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him.
