A wicked [man] takes a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment.

That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asks, and the judge [asks] for a reward; and the great [man], he utters his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.


A gift [is as] a precious stone in the eyes of him that has it: to wherever it turns, it prospers.


And youi shall take no gift: for the gift blinds the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.


youi shall not wrest judgment; youi shall not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.


The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and say, [Is] not the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) among us? none evil can come upon us.


In youi have they taken gifts to shed blood; youi have taken usury (interest paid for using money) and increase, and youi have greedily gained of youri neighbours by extortion, and have forgotten me, says the Lord-Adonai [Greatest Above All Things] GOD-Yehōvih (THE FATHER).


Your1s princes [are] rebellious, and companions of thieves: everyone loves gifts, and follows after rewards: they defend not the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come unto them.


A gift in secret pacifies anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.


A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.


Behold, here I [am]: witness against me before the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received [any] bribe to blind my eyes with that? and I will restore it you.


And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after profit, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.


Surely oppression makes a wise man mad; and a gift destroys the heart.


Which justify the wicked for bribe, and take away the rights of those who are right! (deny justice to the righteous!)


Her princes in the midst thereof [are] like wolves ravening (preying upon to devour) the prey, to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.


Hear this, I pray you, you2f heads of the house of Ya’akov [Heal of God], and princes of the house of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
