A man [that has] friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend [that] sticks closer than a brother.


And Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] caused David [beloved] to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.


All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursues [them with] words, [yet] they [are] wanting [to him].


Then Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] and David [beloved] made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.


For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified [are] all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,


And Rut [friendship] said, Intreat me not to leave youi, [or] to return from following after youi: for to which youi go, I will go; and where youi lodge, I will lodge: youri people [shall be] my people, and youri God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] my God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]:


For if youi altogether hold youi peace at this time, [then] shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Y’hudim (Judeans) from another place; but youi and youi father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knows whether youi are come to the kingdom for [such] a time as this?


I am distressed for youi, my brother Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given]: very pleasant have youi been unto me: youi love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.


And Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] Sha’ul’s [desired] son arose, and went to David [beloved] into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered].


But Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] Sha’ul’s [desired] son delighted much in David [beloved]: and Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] told David [beloved], saying, Sha’ul [desired] my father seeks to kill youi: now therefore, I pray youi, take heed to yourself until the morning, and abide in a secret [place], and hide yourself:


And Ittai [with me] answered the king, and said, [As] the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) lives, and [as] my lord the king lives, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will youri servant be.


And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where youi [are], and I will commune with my father of youi; and what I see, that I will tell youi.


A perverse (twisted) [habitually disposed to disobedience and opposition] man sows strife: and a whisperer separates chief friends.


A foolish son [is] the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife [are] a continual dropping.
