A fool despises his father’s instruction: but he that regards reproof (rebuke; scolding) is prudent.

Poverty and shame [shall be to] him that refuses instruction: but he that regards reproof (rebuke; scolding) shall be honoured.


A wise son [hears] his father’s instruction: but a scorner hears not rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain).


Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that youi may be wise in youi latter end.


These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain) with all authority. Let no man despise youi.


This witness is true. For what reason rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain) them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;


And David [beloved] said to Shlomo (Solomon) [peace] his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do [it]: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], [even] my God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], [will be] with youi; he will not fail youi, nor forsake youi, until youi have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).


And youi, Shlomo (Solomon) [peace] my son, know youi the God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of youri father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) searcheth all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if youi seek him, he will be found of youi; but if youi forsake him, he will cast youi off forever.


The proverbs of Shlomo (Solomon) [Peace]. A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish son [is] the heaviness of his mother.


For the commandment [is] a lamp; and the law [is] light; and reproofs of instruction [are] the way of life:


Turn you at my reproof (rebuke; scolding): behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.


Let the righteous smite me; [it shall be] a kindness: and let him reprove me; [it shall be] an excellent oil, [which] shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also [shall be] in their calamities.


[As] an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, [so is] a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.


A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life: but perverseness therein [is] a breach (breaking forth; a break; opening, inlet) in the spirit.


In the house of the righteous [is] much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.


The fear of the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction.
