Poverty and shame [shall be to] him that refuses instruction: but he that regards reproof (rebuke; scolding) shall be honoured.

A fool despises his father’s instruction: but he that regards reproof (rebuke; scolding) is prudent.


Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof (rebuke; scolding) [is] “stupid as a beast”.


[As] an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, [so is] a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.


Whoso despises the word shall be destroyed: but he that fears the commandment shall be rewarded.

The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but [it is] abomination to fools to depart from evil.


The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall lack.


[It is] better to hear the rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain) of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.


We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us: for we have sinned against the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered].
