In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found: but a rod [is] for the back of him that is void of understanding.

[But] whoso commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he [that] does it destroys his own soul.

The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom: but the perverse (twisted) [habitually disposed to disobedience and opposition] tongue shall be cut out.


The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for lack of wisdom.


Be you2f not as the horse, [or] as the mule, [which] have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto youi.


And all bore him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Yosef [God will add]’s son?


He goes after her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue talks of judgment.


The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increases learning.
