The proverbs of Shlomo (Solomon) [Peace]. A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish son [is] the heaviness of his mother.

The proverbs of Shlomo (Solomon) [Peace] the son of David [Beloved], king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel of God];


Whoso loves wisdom rejoices his father: but he that keeps company with harlots spends [his] substance.


A foolish son [is] a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him.


The rod and reproof (rebuke; scolding) give wisdom: but a child left [to himself] brings his mother to shame.


A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish man despises his mother.


He that begets a fool [does it] to his sorrow: and the father of a fool has no joy.


A foolish son [is] the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife [are] a continual dropping.


And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he gave good heed, and sought out, [and] set in order many proverbs.


And who knows whether he shall be a wise [man] or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have showed myself wise under the sun. This [is] also vanity.


These [are] also proverbs of Shlomo (Solomon) [Peace], which the men of Hezekiah king of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] copied out.


And he spoke three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.


A wise son [hears] his father’s instruction: but a scorner hears not rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain).


My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproaches me.


Correct youi son, and he shall give youi rest; yea, he shall give delight unto youi soul.
