Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.

But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful (mournful cry; sorrowful howl) creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and goats shall dance there.

I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.

I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.

And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Sh’mu’el [His name is El] in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. For this reason they say, [Is] Sha’ul [desired] also among the prophets?

And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in [their] pleasant palaces: and her time [is] near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

Tremble, you2f women that are at ease; be troubled, you2f careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird [sackcloth] upon [your] waist.

Son of man, wail for the multitude of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place], and cast them down, [even] her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the lower parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

In that day shall [one] take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful (mournful cry; sorrowful howl) lamentation, [and] say, We be utterly spoiled: he has changed the portion of my people: how has he removed [it] from me! turning away he has divided our fields.

Now in the fourteenth year of king Hizkiyahu [Yehovah is my strength] did Sancheriv [Sin (the moon) multiplied brothers] king of Ashur [the level plain] (the land of the sons of Shem (name, renown (great reputation; being well-known))) come up against all the fenced cities of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], and took them.

When Mordekhai [little man] perceived all that was done, Mordekhai [little man] rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry;
