“They do not light a lamp to place it in a hidden place where it cannot shine; but they place it upon a lamp-stand so that it might shine for all in the house”.
No man, when he has lighted a candle, puts [it] in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
No man, when he has lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts [it] under a bed; but sets [it] on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
And said unto me, What see youi? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all [of] gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which [are] upon the top thereof:
If youri whole body therefore [be] full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle does give youi light.
That you2f may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God-The Father, without rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain), in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you2f shine as lights in the world;
Remember therefore from what place youi are fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto youi quickly, and will remove youri candlestick out of his place, except youi repent.
