The chief priests and the P’rushim (Pharisees) [separatists] heard his parables and understood that he was speaking in regard to them.
And the chief priests and the Torah-teachers (Scribes) the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.
Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying youi reproach (disgrace; shame) us also.
“So much the more precious is a man than that. Therefore it is permissible for man to be made well on the Shabbat [rest]”
He spoke to them many things in parables and said to them: “A man went forth from his house in the morning to sow his seed.”
“He who falls upon this stone will be cast down; he who falls upon it will be broken apart.”
They sought to kill him but they feared the crowds to whom he was a Prophet.
