Ram [exalted] begot ‘Amminadav [family]; ‘Amminadav [family] begot Nachshon [snake-bird]; Nachshon [snake-bird] begot Salmon [Peaceable].

Yishai [God’s gift] begot David [Beloved] the King; David [Beloved] the King begot Shlomo [peace] from the wife of Uriyah.
