They on the rock [are they], which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

He was a burning and a shining light: and you2f were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

O Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful], what shall I do unto youi? O Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], what shall I do unto youi? for your goodness [is] as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goes away.

And, lo, youi [are] unto them as a very lovely song of one that has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear youri words, but they do them not.

The wicked desires the net of evil [men]: but the root of the righteous yields [fruit].

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds [they are] without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord - Kurios and Saviour Yeshua [God is Salvation] Moshiach [Messiah], they are again entangled in it, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

That Moshiach [Messiah] may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you2f, being rooted and grounded in love,

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered].

For as the body without the Spirit [Ruach] is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

For this cause, when I could no longer refrain (restrain; refrein from acting), I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tried or tested you, and our labour be in vain.

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as you2f have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Have you2f suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.

O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you2f should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Yeshua [God is Salvation] Moshiach [Messiah] has been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

By which also you2f are saved, if you2f keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you2f have believed in vain.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every [branch] that bears fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

But you2f should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?

If you2f continue in the faith grounded and settled, and [be] not moved away from the hope of the Gospel (joyful message), which you2f have heard, [and] which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Sha’ul [desired] am made a minister;

And though I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

For Herod [heroic] feared Yochanan [Yehovah has graced], knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Those by the way side are they that hear; then comes the devil, and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of [this] life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
