But he that hears, and does not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

And they come unto youi as the people comes, and they sit before youi [as] my people, and they hear youri words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, [but] their heart goes after their covetousness.

Whoso walks uprightly shall be saved: but [he that is] perverse [in his] ways shall fall at once.

And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.

For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord - Kurios and Saviour Yeshua [God is Salvation] Moshiach [Messiah], they are again entangled in it, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For this cause, when I could no longer refrain (restrain; refrein from acting), I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tried or tested you, and our labour be in vain.

And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled [them] to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted [them] even unto strange cities.

For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

But those my enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring here, and slay [them] before me.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this [man] to reign over us.

“Then many will be confused, deal treacherously with each other, and be enraged among themselves”.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with prostitutes: therefore the people [that] does not understand shall fall.

He is like a man which built an house, and excavated deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into K’far-Nachum [town of comfort].
