And these bottles of wine, which we filled, [were] new; and, behold, they be rent: and these our garments and our shoes are become old by reason of the very long journey.
They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
“Nor do they put new wine into old vessels lest the vessels break, and the wine spills out and the vessels perish. But, new wine is for new vessels and both of them are preserved”.
And he spoke also a parable unto them; No man puts a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new makes a rent, and the piece that was [taken] out of the new agree not with the old.
