And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse [any] falsely; and be content with your wages.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, [with that] to be content.

And when the angel which spoke unto Cornelius [severed] was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;

It came to pass when he entered K’far-Nachum [town of comfort] that a captain of hundreds came to him and implored him,

And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.
