And again he sent another slave: and they beat him also, and entreated [him] shamefully, and sent [him] away empty.

But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as you2f know, at Philippi [lover of horses], we were bold in our God-The Father to speak unto you the Gospel (joyful message) of God-The Father with much contention.

Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom you2f have been now the betrayers and murderers:

And at the season he sent a slave to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent [him] away empty.

And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast [him] out.
