Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbers it the ground?

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which brings not forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every [branch] that bears fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may grow (become; advance) hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of youi a great nation.

He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:

And when you2f shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then you2f shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.

Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

And he answering said unto him, Lord - Kurios, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung [it]:
