But God-Theos said unto him, [youi] fool, this night youi soul shall be required of youi: then whose shall those things be, which youi have provided?

[As] the partridge sits [on eggs], and hatches [them] not; [so] he that gets riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

For what [is] the hope of the hypocrite, though he has gained, when God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] takes away his soul?

For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out.

Surely every man walks in a vain show: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heaps up [riches], and knows not who shall gather them.

Whereas you2f know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appears for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

[You2f] fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?

How are they [brought] into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

For while [they be] folded together [as] thorns, and while they are drunken [as] drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

He that by usury (interest paid for using money) and unjust gain increases his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.

Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivers from death.

They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat [was] yet in their mouths,

And Haman [magnificent] told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all [the things] wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.

For he sees [that] wise men die, likewise the fool and the “stupid as a beast” person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivers from death.

There is that makes himself rich, yet [has] nothing: [there is] that makes himself poor, yet [has] great riches.

Boast not yourself of tomorrow; for youi know not what a day may bring forth.

Come you2f, [say they], I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, [and] much more abundant.

You2f which rejoice in a thing of nothing, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God-The Father, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;
