And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes (cloths for wrapping infants tightly), and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And as one of them opened his sack to give his donkey provender (food for livestock or cattle) in the inn, he discovered (spied out; examined) his money; for, behold, it [was] in his sack’s mouth.
And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave [them] to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever youi spendest more, when I come again, I will repay youi.
