Joshua 18:28

New Messianic Version Bible

And Tzela [a rib], Eleph, and Y’vusi [Descendants of Y’vus (“hard trampled” or “the waterless hill”)], which [is] Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], Giv’at [Hill], [and] Kiryat [City]; fourteen cities with their villages. This [is] the inheritance of the children of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] according to their families.

And the bones of Sha’ul [desired] and Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] his son buried they in the country of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] in Tzela [a rib], in the sepulcher of Kish [bent] his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] was entreated for the land.

And the border went up by the valley of the son of Hinnom [Lamentation] unto the south side of the Y’vusi [Threshers]; the same [is] Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that [lies] before the valley of Hinnom [Lamentation] westward, which [is] at the end of the valley of the giants northward:

O Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], youi have sinned from the days of Giv’ah [Hill]: there they stood: the battle in Giv’ah [Hill] against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.

They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geva [hill]; Ramah [Hill] is afraid; Giv’ah [Hill] of Sha’ul [desired] is fled.

And David [beloved] said on that day, Whosoever gets up to the gutter, and smites the Y’vusi [Threshers, Trampled Under Foot], and the lame and the blind, [that are] hated of David’s [beloved]’s soul, [he shall be chief and captain]. For what reason they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.

And Sha’ul [desired] also went home to Giv’ah [Hill]; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] had touched.

And the border came down to the end of the mountain that [lies] before the valley of the son of Hinnom [Lamentation], [and] which [is] in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom [Lamentation], to the side of Y’vusi [Descendants of Y’vus (“hard trampled” or “the waterless hill”)] on the south, and descended to ‘Ein-Rogel (a place near Jerusalem) [Fount of the Fuller (washer and/or bleacher of clothes)],

As for the Y’vusi [Threshers, Trampled Under Foot] the inhabitants of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], the children of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] could not drive them out: but the Y’vusi [Threshers, Trampled Under Foot] dwell with the children of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] at Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] unto this day.

And you2f shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: [and] to the more you2f shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you2f shall give the less inheritance: every man’s [inheritance] shall be in the place where his lot falls; according to the tribes of your fathers you2f shall inherit.

To many youi shall give the more inheritance, and to few youi shall give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.

The sons of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] after their families: of Bela [Destruction], the family of the Bela’i: of Ashbel [Fire of Bel], the family of the Ashbeli: of Achiram [Brother of Mother], the family of the Achirai [Brother of Mother]:

And Rekem [Variegation], and Yirpe’el [God will heal], and Tar’alah [Reeling],

And the second lot came forth to Shim’on [he who hears], [even] for the tribe of the children of Shim’on [he who hears] according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised].

And the king and his men went to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] unto the Y’vusi [Threshers, Trampled Under Foot], the inhabitants of the land: which spoke unto David [beloved], saying, Except youi take away the blind and the lame, youi shall not come in here: thinking, David [beloved] cannot come in here.

Helev [milk] the son of Ba’anah [in affliction], a N’tofati [dropping], Ittai [with me] the son of Rivai [pleader with Yehovah] out of Giv’ah [Hill] of the children of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength],

O you2f children of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength], gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], and blow the trumpet in T’koa [a stockade], and set up a sign of fire in Beit-Hakerem [house of the vineyard]: for evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.

And the children of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] did not drive out the Y’vusi [Threshers, Trampled Under Foot] that inhabited Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]; but the Y’vusi [Threshers, Trampled Under Foot] dwell with the children of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] in Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] unto this day.

But the man would not wait that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Y’vus [Threshing Place], which [is] Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace]; and [there were] with him two asses saddled, his concubine also [was] with him.

These [were] heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief [men]. These dwelt in Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].
