Joel 2:13New Messianic Version BibleAnd rend (tear apart; forcefully rip apart) your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) your God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil. See the chapter |
And he prayed unto the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), and said, I pray youi, O Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), [was] not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish [yellow jasper]: for I knew that youi [are] a gracious God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repent youi of the evil.
Because youri heart was tender, and youi have humbled yourself before the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), when youi heard what I spoke against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and have rent youri clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard [youi], says the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).
And refused to obey, neither were mindful of youi wonders that youi did among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but youi [are] a God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsook them not.
And it came to pass, when the king of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, [Am] I God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], to kill and to make alive, that this man does send unto me to heal a man of his leprosy? Therefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.
Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? [is it] to bow down his head as a bulrush (tall plant near water, such as papyrus), and to spread sackcloth and ashes [under him]? will youi call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate)?
That there came certain from Sh’khem [Shoulder], from Shiloh [Place of Rest], and from Shomron [watch mountain], [even] eighty men, having their beards shaven, and their clothes rent, and having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring [them] to the house of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).
