And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
My soul [is] among lions: [and] I lie [even among] them that are set on fire, [even] the sons of men, whose teeth [are] spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan [the adversary], which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
He that has a perverse (twisted) [habitually disposed to disobedience and opposition] heart finds no good: and he that has a perverse tongue falls into mischief.
