Daniel 9:2

New Messianic Version Bible

In the first year of his reign I Dani’el [God is Judge] understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) came to Yirmeyahu [whom Yehovah has appointed] the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].

For thus says the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), That after seventy years be accomplished at Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion] I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

To fulfil the word of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) by the mouth of Yirmeyahu [whom Yehovah has appointed], until the land had enjoyed her Shabbat: [for] as long as she lay desolate she kept Shabbat [Rest], to fulfil threescore and ten years.

Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) [is] he that reads, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it: for the time [is] at hand.

Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When you2f fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh [month], even those seventy years, did you2f at all fast unto me, [even] to me?

Now in the first year of Koresh (Cyrus) [possess you the furnace] king of Paras (Persia) [pure or splendid], that the word of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) by the mouth of Yirmeyahu [whom Yehovah has appointed] might be fulfilled, the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) stirred up the spirit of Koresh (Cyrus) [possess you the furnace] king of Paras (Persia) [pure or splendid], that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and [put it] also in writing, saying,

Therefore shall Tziyon [parched place] for your sake be plowed [as] a field, and Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.

[To wit], Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], and the cities of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as [it is] this day;

Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], and from the streets of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], the voice of gladness, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

Your1s holy cities are a wilderness, Tziyon [parched place] is a wilderness, Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] a desolation.

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to Exhortation (encouragement; counsel), to doctrine.

And the eunuch answered Philip [friend of horses], and said, I pray youi, of whom speaks the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

But when you2f shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Dani’el [God is Judge] the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let them that be in Y’hudah [praised] flee to the mountains:

“He is the Anti-Moshiach [Messiah] and he is the abomination which desolates which was spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing in the holy place. Let the one who reads understand”.

How does the city sit solitary, [that was] full of people! [how] is she become as a widow! she [that was] great among the nations, [and] princess among the provinces, [how] is she become tributary!

Then will I make this house like Shiloh [Place of Rest], and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

Your2s testimonies also [are] my delight [and] my counselors.

Mikhay’hu [Who is Like God?] from Moreshet [possession of Gat (wine-vat)] prophesied in the days of Hizkiyahu [Yehovah is my strength] king of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], and spoke to all the people of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], saying, Thus says the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies]; Tziyon [parched place] shall be plowed [like] a field, and Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.

The words of Yirmeyahu [whom Yehovah has appointed] the son of Hilkiyahu [my portion is Yehovah], of the priests that [were] in ‘Anatot [answers to prayer] in the land of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength]:

And I set my face unto the Lord-Adonai (The Father) [Greatest Above All Things], the God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Then the angel of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) answered and said, O Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies], how long will youi not have mercy on Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] and on the cities of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], against which youi have had indignation these threescore and ten years?

No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
