Daniel 9:1

New Messianic Version Bible

In the first year of Daryavesh (Darius) [lord] the son of Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor], of the seed of the Medes [middle land], which was made king over the realm of the Kasdim [clod-breakers];

Also I in the first year of Daryavesh (Darius) [lord] the Mede, [even] I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.

And Daryavesh (Darius) [lord] the Median took the kingdom, [being] about threescore and two years old.

And Dani’el [God is Judge] continued [even] unto the first year of king Koresh (Cyrus) [possess you the furnace].

So this Dani’el [God is Judge] prospered in the reign of Daryavesh (Darius) [lord], and in the reign of Koresh (Cyrus) [possess you the furnace] the Persian.

And in the reign of Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor], in the beginning of his reign, wrote they [unto him] an accusation against the inhabitants of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] and Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].

Now it came to pass in the days of Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor], (this [is] Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor] which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia [Kush], [over] an hundred and seven and twenty provinces:)

Children in whom [was] no blemish, but well favoured, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as [had] ability in them to stand in the king’s palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Kasdim [clod-breakers].

It pleased Daryavesh (Darius) [lord] to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
