And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant [land].

But he that comes against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn [were] eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given [them], flowing with milk and honey, which [is] the glory of all lands;

In the day [that] I lifted up my hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place] into a land that I had discovered (spied out; examined) for them, flowing with milk and honey, which [is] the glory of all lands:

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, [is] mount Tziyon [Parched Place], [on] the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

But I said, How shall I put youi among the children, and give youi a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, youi shall call me, My father; and shall not turn away from me.

And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
