Daniel 6:8New Messianic Version BibleNow, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes [middle land] and Persians, which alters not. See the chapter |
If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes [middle land], that it be not altered, That Vashti [beautiful] come no more before king Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor]; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
Then they came near, and spoke before the king concerning the king’s decree; Have youi not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] or man within thirty days, save of youi, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true, according to the law of the Medes [middle land] and Persians, which alters not.
Then were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman [magnificent] had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that [were] over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and [to] every people after their language; in the name of king Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor] was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.
