Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Dani’el [God is Judge] with scarlet, and [put] a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

And I have heard of youi, that youi can make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if youi can read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, youi shall be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about youi neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.


The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Kasdim [clod-breakers], and the soothsayers. [And] the king spoke, and said to the wise [men] of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], Whosoever shall read this writing, and show me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.


For they [shall be] an ornament of grace unto youi head, and chains about youi neck.


Then the king made Dani’el [God is Judge] a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], and chief of the governors over all the wise [men] of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion].


And over these three presidents; of whom Dani’el [God is Judge] [was] first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.


And Pharaoh (Great House) took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Yosef’s (Increaser; May God the Powerful One add [Yah]) hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;


For Mordekhai [little man] the Jew [was] next unto king Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor], and great among the Y’hudim (Judeans), and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
