The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

Pride [goes] before destruction, and an arrogant (proud; lifted up) spirit before a fall.


Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], that mighty city! for in one hour is youri judgment come.


And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion] came in remembrance before God-The Father, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.


Likewise, you2f younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yes, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God-The Father resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.


They are corrupt, and speak wickedly [concerning] oppression: they speak loftily.


Man [that is] in honour, and understands not, is like the beasts [that] perish.


And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast [it] into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion] be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.


Whether therefore you2f eat, or drink, or whatsoever you2f do, do all to the glory of God-The Father.


Bless the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], O my soul. O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] my God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], youi are very great; youi are clothed with honour and majesty.


When he showed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, [even] an hundred and eighty days.


And the beginning of his kingdom was Bavel Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity), and Erekh (to extract, or draw out), and Akkad (A vessel, pitcher, spark), and Kalneh (Our consummation; all of them), in the land of Shin’ar (Tooth Town, or City Of Wit).


And there followed another angel, saying, Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion] is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.


A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.


And Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Kasdim [clod-breakers]’ excellency, shall be as when God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] overthrew S’dom [Burning] and ‘Amora [Submersion].


While the word [was] in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, [saying], O king N’vukhadnetzar [May Nebo protect the crown], to youi it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from youi.


Then shall [his] mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend (make angry; make one stumble; violate), [imputing] this his power unto his god.


[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [is] wisdom.


And he that bade youi and him come and say to youi, Give this man place; and youi begin with shame to take the lowest room.
