Then Dani’el [God is Judge] requested of the king, and he set Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe], Meishakh [guest of the king], and ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo], over the affairs of the province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion]: but Dani’el [God is Judge] [sat] in the gate of the king.


For what reason the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] says, I said indeed [that] youi house, and the house of youi father, should walk before me forever: but now the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) says, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.


What shall we then say to these things? If God-The Father [be] for us, who [can be] against us?


If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my slave be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.


There are certain Y’hudim (Judeans) whom youi have set over the affairs of the province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe], Meishakh [guest of the king], and ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo]; these men, O king, have not regarded youi: they serve not youi gods, nor worship the golden image which youi have set up.


Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name.


And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.


Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Dani’el [God is Judge] [the name] of Belt-shatzar [lord of the straitened (impeded or restricted; narrowed, distressed)’s treasure]; and to Hananyah [God has favoured], of Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe]; and to Michael [Who is what God is], of Meishakh [guest of the king]; and to ‘Azaryah [Yehovah has helped], of ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo].


N’vukhadnetzar [May Nebo protect the crown] the king made an image of gold, whose height [was] threescore cubits, [and] the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion].
