Daniel 3:12

New Messianic Version Bible

There are certain Y’hudim (Judeans) whom youi have set over the affairs of the province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe], Meishakh [guest of the king], and ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo]; these men, O king, have not regarded youi: they serve not youi gods, nor worship the golden image which youi have set up.

Then answered they and said before the king, That Dani’el [God is Judge], which [is] of the children of the captivity of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], regards not youi, O king, nor the decree that youi have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.

Then Dani’el [God is Judge] requested of the king, and he set Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe], Meishakh [guest of the king], and ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo], over the affairs of the province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion]: but Dani’el [God is Judge] [sat] in the gate of the king.

Whom Jason [one who will heal] has received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar [venerable], saying that there is another king, [one] Yeshua [God is Salvation].

Wrath [is] cruel, and anger [is] outrageous; but who [is] able to stand before envy?

Saying, Did not we straitly command you that you2f should not teach in this name? and, behold, you2f have filled Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This [is] also vanity and anguish of spirit.

And Haman [magnificent] said unto king Achashverosh [I will be silent and poor], There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of youi kingdom; and their laws [are] diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it [is] not for the king’s profit to suffer them.

Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Dani’el [God is Judge] [the name] of Belt-shatzar [lord of the straitened (impeded or restricted; narrowed, distressed)’s treasure]; and to Hananyah [God has favoured], of Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe]; and to Michael [Who is what God is], of Meishakh [guest of the king]; and to ‘Azaryah [Yehovah has helped], of ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo].

Then the king made Dani’el [God is Judge] a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion], and chief of the governors over all the wise [men] of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion].

And whoso falls not down and worships, [that] he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe], Meishakh [guest of the king], and ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo], answered and said to the king, O N’vukhadnetzar [May Nebo protect the crown], we [are] not careful to answer youi in this matter.

Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss (wrong; incorrect) against the God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe], Meishakh [guest of the king], and ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo], shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] that can deliver after this sort.

Then the king promoted Shadrakh [royal, or the great scribe], Meishakh [guest of the king], and ‘Aved-N’go [servant of Nebo], in the province of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion].

Then the king, when he heard [these] words, was sore displeased with himself, and set [his] heart on Dani’el [God is Judge] to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
